Why does my phone ring when i receive an email

Very seldom do I reply from the watch. I have both the watch and phone with me, and generally my responses can be longer than I want to do on the watch. Short responses I do, as well as messages by dictation. Seems the watch, even though it is one of the original ones, does a great job with dictation. I use it more for checking the mail. I can determine if I need to read a work email immediately or not. Part of my job requirements. If not, I can ignore it. I don't use the watch for my personal email, since nothing I get there would require immediate attention, and I only check that on my phone every 30 minutes.

Yes, the volume bar box on the screen of the iPhone had Bluetooth on top of it. I look forward to hearing from you again. And this was for me hearing in the car.

Go to settings down to sounds pick another sound for Email not a ring tone.
