siri can't understand me anymore!

Siri was able to perfectly understand me prior to this IOS11 update. Now I'm having massive issues--constantly having to correct SIRI. Examples:

1. When I say "siri, turn lights off" (or "turn hue lights off"), siri responds with "calling Mike Voff". This occurs even when I emphasize the "T" sound in Turn.

2. When I say "siri, open simplisafe", siri responds with "it doesn't seem like you have an app called simply safe. if you'd like i can search...". I want to scream. the name of the app is simplisafe!!!.

There are other examples, but these are the two that fail on a consistent basis. I don't have an accent and Siri could understand me before...anyone else having this issue after the last release? Any solutions?

One would expect an "intelligent" virtual assistant to learn my habits--I say the SAME line every day to Siri, and, every day Siri fumbles the task. Alexa has yet to misunderstand me. **** poor, Apple.
