iPhone 8 screen will not turn off automatically when not being used

Same I have reported last month to the support team in chat. But they asked me to do all basic troubleshooting like factory reset, set to new phone etc.. but It does not resolve! Any suggestions

Same problem on two phones. Obviously, an IOS or hardware problem that Apple needs to fix rather than ignoring their customers. I've done the reboot before and it doesn't last as a fix.

This suggestion doesn’t solve my problem. My phone WONT auto-lock at all.

Same here AND my husband’s 8... it’s a major security problem for him due to HIPPA laws since he’s in the medical field. Apple needs a fix ASAP!

Regardless if the screen is locked or not, if the display is lit it will not turn off again unless i hit power button

I have this issue as well. The auto lock setting is set to 30 seconds and it stays on indefinitely until I press the side lock button.

I have to the same issue with my iPhone 8. Lastest update does not fix the issue. Please fix it.

Are you saying it happened With 11.1? I am currently a week and a bit with my wife's phone not having the problem yet, so was hoping it might be fixed.

Same problem for me... when the problem occurs, the dynamic or live image of the home screen and lock screen freeze and jump.

Reebot solve problem for a few days and then reappears.
