Trackpad not working after macOS High Sierra upgrade

I get a message "there is no magic trackpad connected" for my trackpad. This started happening after I updated my iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) to macOS High Sierra. It was working fine until the upgrade. Is this a glitch in the new macOS? How can I fix it? Please help!

I actually had a LMP one, in fact I was one of their first customers. But it stopped working and I bought the Belkin one, which frankly is less finicky (it always connects right away).

But I use a Magic Trackpad mostly for gestures, and I only replace it with the Belkin 10-key when I'm entering a lot of numbers - for example during tax time. So the Mobee is still useful when I need a 10-key but don't want to move the Trackpad (having both + the keyboard is too much).
