Did you bother to read what I said?? When I said pressure, I'm saying push harder. And I also said it comes on right away with more pressure. We're really saying the very same thing.

Exactly! Press down on it like a button and release. The confusion is that it's not at all intuitive based on anyone's history with the iPhone. It's NOT swipe, it's NOT press and continue to press, it's simply press down and let go. I don't know why yours is the first response I've seen to this question that is accurate but it is.

On the lock screen, press and hold either the flashlight or camera button and tilt the phone up toward you.

It requires you to use the 3D touch on your device. Once you push hard enough to activate the 3D touch, the flashlight or camera (whichever chosen) will open.

It takes pressure on your screen to get the icons to swell, then take your finger off the screen and both should work.

You have to hold the flashlight button a LONG time. Just keep holding it for at least 5 full seconds. Longer than seems right.

You have to force press (3D touch) on those buttons.

Just hold your finger on it for a few seconds and then, without releasing, press harder. It’s haptic.

Tap, or long press, will not do the trick. You'll need to apply a little bit of force on the button until you feel a light haptic feedback (e.g. 3D Touch).

Pretty annoying, but that's how it works...

All of the answers to this are still not working? Click until it swells? I’ve done that??? Nothing.... I’ve clicked until it swells and pressed volume and power button... still nothing? Help me understand!!!

OK, I'm missing something. My lock screen doesn't have any icons at the bottom of it. Do I have to enable a setting to make them show up?
