I’ve checked the mute button and it is off, I hear my keyboard clicks and my lock screen sounds all working properly. I bought my phones in Australia so maybe the changes the law for it?
I’ve tried to get the camera shutter sound to work on my iPhone 8 and on my mums iPhone 6 and nothing seems to work. Is it an error with the update or did they change it so it is muted everytime you take a photo? I’ve tried using my ringer and alert sounds, the change with buttons on and off, turning off live photo and nothing seems to work! It use to be really useful for my mother as she’s getting older and doesn’t know when the photo has taken without the sound. Someone help!

Great, thanks! So frustrating....
Sorry for being obtuse, but what element are you talking about to turn off live capture? I have an iPhone6 updated to latest OS 11.2.2 and no such icon is on my screen?

Sorry, but he has an iPhone 6, which does not have Live Photo. Live Photo came from iPhone 6S and higher.
Exactly. The other problem is that just describes how to switch off ‘Live’. The whole point is that the shutter sound does not work when on Live and it should.
Great point! Missed that. Thanks!
The “live” on/off trick works. But you need to apply it every time you go to camera.
Thanks
