I’m the only one who is having problem with iPhone X speaker ? In particular I hear a cracke with the upper speaker when I reproduce some songs on Apple music or the ringtones such as ’Apex’ and ‘bell tower’ around the 80% and full volume ? Thanks for the help.

Solved it!

1. Take a Backup.

(Just to keep Activity data. Use “decipher activity transfer tool” to clean the backup from the other data and keep only activity”.

2. Erase all settings and data.

3. Setup IPhone.

4. DONOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP.

5. Setup as a new iPhone.

This will solve the crackling problem

You can restore the activity data later using restore from backup as only.

When using the speaker for calls or listening to piano music the issue is evident, but in most other cases the speaker quality is quite good. Maybe not enough people are complaining because they didn’t notice it yet or maybe they using it at lower volume. If no one complains then Apple doesn’t consider it an issue or hopefully they are testing a software fix...unless it’s a hardware issue.

Thank you for that ! Apple like the battery fiasco hasn’t addressed this major issue and they ought to issue a statement soon !

I too contacted Apple and the Senior Advisor consulted with the Engineering Department and they said they have received reports! Also I have submitted a Hardware Bug Report via The Developor Forum and they collected data from my iPhone along with Video footage showing the issue and stilll awaiting their response!

So today Apple called me like they promised. They keep saying it‘s a software issue but can’t say when it wil be fixed. 😟 I‘m not satisfied with this and kept asking for a replacement because in Belgium they have to give a warranty for 2 years. Thats simply the law here but the advisor keeps doing dificult about this so now in a week they are gonna contacting me again. What a joke!

Anand I am also facing the same issue ! Apparently in India the service is horrible ! I am in Goa ! They have my device to Bangalore for screen module replacement which houses the iPhone Receiver and now I have heating issue !

Very Poor service from a company that prides itself !

I am an Apple fan but in times like this I really don’t know what to do !

I suggest keep pushing your case ! Mine is going on from December !

Pathetic!!

I can confirm this too. I went to Apple. They said diagnosis was fine including microphone. They gave me new SIM card & told me if that didn’t work to reset to factory settings & start all over again. Finally called Apple again today, frustrated I told them I needed a replacement. I paid $1,100 on a phone that no one can hear me on. This is an iPhone X, I didn’t have this problem with my old 6 plus. This is unacceptable Apple.

People tell me I sound muffled & connection comes in & out. The best phones were the 6 series. I shouldn’t have gotten iPhone X. I’m disappointed in Apple.

They need to come up with software or replacement phone.
