iPhone X not working with Carplay

I am currently working with AppleCare Technical support on my issue and apparently it is a known issue and there no proposed resolution at this time. Just keep updating the software and eventually we will have a fix, as this problem will not resolve itself by just magic, like we want.

This is happening to me as well with my 2016 BMW. Was on the phone with Apple for 45 min only to learn a factory reset was my only option. Total waste!

My iPhone 8+ and iPad Pro quit working with Apple Play last week. Tried different patch cords, various UBS ports, resetting, was able to get my Bluetooth working, however nothing else. Tried a Samsung phone and the same problem is occurring.

I’ve been waiting patiently for an update. It’s been over a month. My google maps, Waze and alerts when I’m in the car are all muted, as well as google maps and Waze do not work properly and the arrow, which is your car, just kinda floats around. Really frustrating considering the cost of this phone.

Hi, I just unpacked my new iPhone X and after configuration I’ve faced the same problem too. I have the newest Q7. Other iPhones are working just fine.

I somehow can’t believe that a company like apple don’t manage to get their most expensive phone to not miss such a basic bulletproof function which exists since longer time! It’s a simple basic test case guys... very disappointing!

Same issue with iPhone X. iPhone CarPlay won’t connect to 2017 camaro. Car system is up to date. I phone tried as new and factory reset. Still won’t work. Spouses 8+ works perfectly. Best phone in the world!?

Wow!!.... and magically my AppleCarPlay works again!!

Thinking there must have been an update. Apple had said it could possibly be a firmware concern. Honda said it was an Apple issue, not Honda. In any account, works well now!

Restoring is not "jumping through hoops" it takes about 20 minutes and solves a lot of issues. You would rather complain and bad mouth Apple than try the easy solutions. I am not having these issues. So, curious. Did the factory reset work?? I'm guessing not.

CarPlay don't work with Volvo XC90 and iPhone X. Connection error on Sensus display. But it works fine with iPhone 6s Plus.

I'm having also an issue on my Porsche Macan. iPhone 6 works with no problem, but when I connect the X, then maps dont work at all; my position on the map remains fixed.

Has anyone heard anything about this? I’m so frustrated! I was so excited to do the update last night but my phone still doesn’t work.
