Using Face ID to approve family purchases

Same issue here... it is really annoying that I have to put in my AppleID pswd every time! I have sent the feedback to Apple using the link provided above.

I guess people will know for sure when 11.3 is released.

What is the proper way to submit feedback?

I’d like to give them plenty of feedback on how annoying the lack of FaceID with APP store Famiky Share purchases is!!! Not to mention all the other crappy problems with this $1,100 piece of JUNK! Wish I would NEVER HAVE UPGRADED! My 7Plus was a WAY better device. iPhoneX = epic Apple FAIL!!

Apple simply didn't enable using Face ID for approving family purchases. Nothing is wrong, since its working as they decided it should work. If you or any of the other posters would like Apple to change this, use the link anypats provided above to ask them to change this. That's all any of you can do.

At least we know this inconvenience was intentional. But it begs the question why? The whole point of having biometric auth is to save us from typing in a massively complex password every time we need to get an app. I have four kids. Teens! Do you have any idea how many requests I get? My carpal tunnel is bad and getting worse. Soon I will need a helper monkey. Please, please turn on face authentication for parental approvals.

This is beyond frustrating and Apple please fix you are better then this. Entering complex passwords every time my kids want an app is frustrating. If worried about security give us the option to enable or disable.

Again, Apple isn't here. so your request to fix this won't do anything. Use the link provided above to tell Apple what you think.

I read a post a couple days ago (sorry but I don’t have the link) that it’s due to a security issue with twins and younger kids being able to unlock parents’ phones because of similar facial features. So it sounds like they either need to improve FaceID or they may not enable it for Family Sharing.

Have any of you submitted feedback? Apple doesn't monitor these forums so the only way they will hear from you is by submitting feedback through the proper channels.
