I would like to respond to Apple: This is not an isolated issue. All 5 iphones of my family have quit providing battery usage as has been reported by many users. I don't want to restore every time Apple screws up, I always lose data (names, dates, ring tones, songs). Why not figure out what's causing the problem. I just replaced 2 batteries because phones wouldn't last a day & it didn't help. I suspect a rogue app but can't tell. I'll do the restore but am losing confidence in Apple fast.

The phone must be used for about a day after being reset before app usage will be displayed. Otherwise there is not enough data to report a meaningful value. As your phone seems to have other problems, I suggest posting a new question.

BTW, who replaced the batteries? If it wasn't Apple you have no idea about the quality of the batteries that were installed.

This has been going on since 2 iOS updates ago, that’s when I 1st posed the question. It didn’t start for 5 phones today. As far as batteries go, I have been tearing down & repairing, rebuilding, upgrading Apple products for 35yrs, Wozniak never made a comment like that.

That doesn't change the fact that, if you replaced your own battery, you replaced it with a non-Apple battery. And, skill in repairing Macs doesn't necessarily translate to skill in repairing an iPhone.

What on earth does that have to do with anything? I bet Mr. Wozniak doesn't repair his own iPhones, either.

Details? I started with II & proceeded w/Mac++ (& IBM & Windows machines) . Wozniak occasionally answered the phone back around 80 (I think), it doesn't matter what we talked about, the point is no one ever questioned my ability or methods. Back in the dark ages there was an inferred mutual respect. All those old nerds had yet to reach 'God' status & people like me didn't know they were rolling in money. ****, there wasn't even a Starbucks back then! There just weren't that many people digging into circuits & code. FYI, I'm now 70+ & a lot of this stuff is above me so I request help. I trust the batteries I installed so now I am going to do a reset & I'm inclined to think, when done, I'll never know why & no one cares.

I have tried all of the above. I still do not get the apps usage. Any other suggestions

35 years? So you started repairing the Apple II, as that was the only Apple product 35 years ago.

I'm sure Woz never said anything about batteries.
