I am having the same problem ever since updating to iOS 11. I have an iPhone 7 Plus my previous iPhone which was a 6+ did not have this problem. My iPhone 6 Plus cannot listen to voicemails cause every time I would play them they would shut off about three seconds in and this would happen over and over again. It seems every time I get a new iPhone I get rid of one problem to inherit another. I’ve had the iPhone since the edge which was the original iPhone and this will be my last iPhone I will now go to a Samsung.
Hi, Krosen1210,
From your post, I understand that you are having trouble sending pictures via iMessage. Specifically, when you send one iMessage, you are unable to send another until the first one is finished sending. If you try to send additional pictures, your Messages app becomes unresponsive. Additionally, you’ve noticed another situation where the display will pop down halfway (Reachability) without prompt. I’m happy to help!
The first recommendation I have, if you have not already, is to force close the Messages app: How to force an app to quit - Apple Support. Then, restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. This restart will address both iMessage and Reachability
If you have completed these two steps, in this order, and the issue with iMessage continues, the next step would be to check your connected network. If it’s private Wi-Fi, like at your house, reset the router if you’re able. This typically can be done by unplugging the router from power for a few seconds, but some routers also have a reset button. Check with your user manual or the manufacturer for the specific instructions.
If you’re on public Wi-Fi (or are otherwise unable to reset the connected Wi-Fi network), or you are using cellular data, try switching networks. You can go from Wi-Fi to cellular data or vice versa, and also try another Wi-Fi network.
In regard to Reachability, you can turn the feature off if restarting the iPhone has not helped, and you decide you do not wish to use the feature under Settings > General > Accessibility > Reachability. Switch the toggle from the on (green) position to the off (grey) position by tapping it.
Should you need additional help after trying these steps, do not hesitate to respond back. If you do, please confirm the iOS version number running on your iPhone 7. You can get that under Settings > General > About > Version.
Cheers!
Same Every time I go to send a picture within the Messenger app it freezes up and takes forever to send and won’t let me type anything on any of my messages on any of the contacts I have to either restart my phone or start a brand new SMS or MMS message and type the contact name on top and everything it’s so bogus like I want to send like temperatures in a row but no cant do that unless u wanna b on ya phone all day😡
I am having the same issue with both of my iPhone 7 pluses. It starting with an iOS update. It seems there are unresolved issues with every update. When I switched to an iPhone I was warned if it’s working never do an update. Unfortunately I didn’t listen. I will say this after having been an Android user. Never had issues with the device not working after a software update. I like my iPhone but I don’t know if I would ever buy another one.
Since this thread is 7 months old and I am still having this problem on a regular basis with my iPhone 7+, I can only assume Apple doesn't care to fix it. I am really getting peeved with how my iPhone 7+ has really started misbehaving since the updates around the time of the iPhone 8 and X came out. It is like they are purposely causing the older iPhones to run like crap and crash all the time to get you to upgrade.
This was my first iPhone and I paid over $1,000 for it and I am feeling like I have been ripped off. I never had these issues with my previous Samsung phones.
YES, I am running the latest OS and all updates are applied.
This fall I am planning on upgrading my Phone like I do every 2 years. I hate to say it, I may go back to Samsung.
Apple, GET ON THE BALL HERE! Do something before you lose more customers.
Dccm
Yep, I know it’s a work around. Hoping a iOS 11 update corrects this.
More often than not I encounter it if I add multiple recipients to an iMessage.
Hope it’s fixed soon!👍
Me too. Same crap with my 7 plus
Having the same issue with my Iphone 6SE. Been happening for the past few updates. Getting very annoying
Same problems with iOS 11.2.5 upgrade. See my post in this thread.
I started getting the problem with upgrade to 11.2.5.
I have 8plus and have the same issue since I did 2 updates ago😧
Yes. Didn’t help.
I am starting to feel the same! And the prices are getting unsightly!
I am having the exact same problem with my IPhone X, was wondering if you have gotten a fix for it. This drives my wild. Way too expensive of a phone to be doing this.
Ah yea.... That can fix a lot of stuff, but not a bad IOS, lol/
