NUMBER LOCK IS ON AND SINCE THERE IS NO KEY FOR THIS HOW CAN I TURN IT OFF

Just to clarify, is your problem that the keys 789uiojkl now produce numbers like a number pad? If so, go to system prefs/accessiblity/Mouse and turn mousekey settings on and off, etc. and see if that helps.
If your problem is different, please describe in more detail.

Ummm... do you know what the "shift" keys on a keyboard are for?

Interesting! f1 can trigger full keyboard access, which lets you navigate around the screen using keys instead of a mouse, but I don't think it should affect the number keys.
