Adding our name to the call for a proper fix as we're seeing the identical problem. My wife's phone is continually reloading to the Home screen (Springboard) and won't open any apps. Mine's ok so far. We both use Headspace so receive at least one daily reminder, which I've been reading is a common and connected theme with this. We're in SE Asia, so it is Dec 2nd here when it started this morning.

This has happened to me as well. I powered off this morning and when I powered it back on it would keep bring up black screen and loading symbol and then pin lock screen. I have a brand new iPhone 8 plus. I've tried to reset in settings that's not working for me. I'm going to try the restore now. I'm waiting for contact from Apple Care as well. I'm in Brisbane

Go to iCloud make sure iCloud back up is on Then backup now over your wifi

Then go to settings down to reset Restore iPhone back to factory settings.

Set back up over your wifi when it asks if you want to use iCloud backup Say yes to get your apps and data back this will get rid of any bugs.

I had the same problem on my iPhone 6s. After deleting recently updated apps, trying to restart a bunch of times, and failing to backup my phone (the 1-minute restart loop wouldnt allow it), I finally found a website that shows how to do a device firmware update. Apparently it is not without risks, but it worked for me. I restored the phone with an older backup, and everything seems to be working okay, with the exception of a couple of games. But at least I have some functionality now! Good luck to you all, it's a really irritating bug that Apple needs to fix asap!

@apple they need to quickly resolve this. the phone heats up very fast too

Interesting, a few people seem to be reporting the same problem, and also I've seen several posts by the same person suggesting changing the date... seems like a weird fix.

I know right a weird temporary fix, I hope they release the update to fix this problem soon

That I'm not sure until Apple release an update to fix this I guess
