Cd Burning error

I have the same problem since the latest iTunes update. Since I also had a Windows 10 update at the same time, I thought perhaps my CD/DVD writer needed a driver update. It didn't. Wasted 6 CDs so far. As I have over 200 playlists, I'm not willing to uninstall and go to a previous version. When will Apple provide a fix? This is a serious limitation!

** iTunes support ** I see at least 4 different threads about this problem and I do not see any actual replies from Apple.

I started having the same problem with the waste of time, wasting of blank CD's. Thanks to all who've responded with the same problem, I thought I had done something I even uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes to no avail. They're getting a call from me at the very least if not an email!!

I have Windows 10 pro, my updates are current as is my latest version of iTunes. I'm not a new iTunes user and have literally spent 100's of dollars on music. Your last update was a disaster which you should know by now. Own it, fix it and quit playing the blame game!!

I'm also having the exact same problem. I've wasted three discs trying to burn a playlist and getting that error. There was an update today that I thought was going to correct the problem, but I wasted another disc trying it. I don't know what the fix is but I'll check back to see if there are updates. Thanks.

I had the same issue - just followed Ridley1555 steps and fixed the issue. THANKS! I wasted a dozen CD's - ordered a new burner - installed it - still happened. This is at least a temporary fix until updates help.

Save yourself the two hours on the phone with lame Apple support. They know it's a software problem, but not before they walk you through a complete dog-and-pony show that wastes about 8 perfectly good CD's demonstrating that "yes, there is nothing wrong with your CD burner." Finally, some dude admitted they knew about it, but were keeping everything quiet. Such BS. Why don't you just come right out and admit it? And by the way, Apple, I am thoroughly and completely disgusted that you throttled my phone in order to convince me to buy a new one, when the old one would have been perfectly fine with just a new battery. Shame on you, you corporate charlatans, for making my phone work less efficiently than when I bought it, on purpose, just to sell me a new one. Where's your great sense of being environmentally friendly and recycling? Hypocrites. And now you release basically an unworkable piece of garbage as software? Somebody ought to put a shoe in it.

Apple clearly doesn't care for the people who still own cars with CD players :'D

On the bright side, Apple will probably release the iCar next year which will be shaped like a giant wireless headphone free of all ports and buttons and a loud unmuteable Siri which constantly mocks anyone including you for not having a iPhone X.

There's a supermarket down the road, I think I'm going to go get lost in it.....

I have the same issue went through 6 CD'S and 1 1/2 hrs of my time trying yo figure out the problem I hope they fix it soon

Update - well after getting 5 CDs completed, it went back to errors. So apparently this isn't a bypass option! Sorry folks

Maximum possible became the default after I downloaded the new version.

I called Apple support (for the first time) and after 21 minutes, the tech told me he thought it was the disks I was using, which I've never had a problem with before. So essentially, he was no help.

I take no credit for this lol. I just reposted what Turingtest2 showed me and thought to pass it along to help others who are in the same boat
