Hi Ashok Panchal,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

I understand that when you receive an incoming call it's not always showing that there is an incoming call on your display. The phone will only ring and vibrate. It's important to make sure that you can see who is calling, so I'm happy to provide some support.

It sounds like the Phone app on your iPhone isn't responding like it should. I suggest a close of the Phone app and a restart of your iPhone to see if this helps the issue.

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also check to make sure that your iPhone is running the latest update. If there is a case on the iPhone or any accessories connected, please remove and test.

Once you've done these steps, let me know if you get the same result.

Kind Regards.

I have been having this problem for a while now. Whenever I call Apple Customer care, they act as if it was the first time they hear it. Each time they recommend the same thing/ Hard reset and or software update. I did it all, but it didnt get fixed. When I receive a normal call. there is no delay when I receive a call on WhatsApp, Skype or Duo.

Hi,

Tried all below:

1-formatting and reinstalling the IOS according to apple engineer.

2-visiting apple service center where diagnostic was ok (hardware wise my phone is ok as also my phone bought new).

3-restarting where my phone will work roughly for 25 calls or for 3 days only which is not practical solution especially for such expensive phone.

All above and more I did as even changing the phone won't help.

The problem is not from your or my side to fix as it is surely from the latest update from apple where apple has to issue a new update in order to overcome the issue.

You don't know how much that will affect my way or others way of looking to apple as the update before that affected my previous phone (6s) and made restating till formatted the 6s phone, not to mention that battery thing, so now days, updating the phone will fix a problem and cause another which is not right and not acceptable from apple as a leading company in such business.

Again, we need a new update to fix the issue as early as possible, but basically we need acknowledgment from apple that there is an issue and after that only they can start to solve it as in my 6s they've acknowledged the problem and not for the caller id till now.

Thanks to all.

Hi,

I was facing the same issue so I called apple customer care and they really helped in resolving the issue.

Please follow the steps below-

1) Turn your airplane mode on and off once.

2) Take your sim card out and insert it back while keeping the phone on.

3) Force restart your iPhone X (Push your volume up button for 1 second, then press your volume down button for 1 second and then press power/siri button until you see the apple logo, remove your finger as soon as you see the power button).

Note-My issue was resolved with this step.

4) Reset your network setting or reset all settings.(this will not delete the data but will reset few setting like wallpaper, ringtone and wifi setting).

PS-Apple is working on a fix and with next update they issue should be resolved but meanwhile resolve this.

Let me know if this works.

Apple is sleeping on the incoming call issue with iPhone X. it shows how lethargic and careless they are. Even iOS 11.3 won't fix this issue as Apple is becoming worst in their products and support. This way Samsung will become No. 1 and Apple will lose the market share and business. Investors of Apple should look into this seriously and replace Mr. Cook with some better person who will launch better quality products and Services. Even the Apple Support people are arrogant and are not customer friendly.

Apple has seriously lost the plot & doesn’t care much on this! iPhone X supposedly the most advanced phone of Apple has some serious bugs & they don’t seem to wanting to solve anything. The customer care people are not even able to talk properly.

My first ever experience in Calling the customer support and to my surprise the support executive couldn’t even talk the language properly. Unfortunately it’s death of apple era if this is how they wish to continue

when receiving incoming call on iphone x its only ringing and vibrate there is no display on screen
