Hi Ashok Panchal,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

I understand that when you receive an incoming call it's not always showing that there is an incoming call on your display. The phone will only ring and vibrate. It's important to make sure that you can see who is calling, so I'm happy to provide some support.

It sounds like the Phone app on your iPhone isn't responding like it should. I suggest a close of the Phone app and a restart of your iPhone to see if this helps the issue.

How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also check to make sure that your iPhone is running the latest update. If there is a case on the iPhone or any accessories connected, please remove and test.

Once you've done these steps, let me know if you get the same result.

Kind Regards.

Even i am facing the same issue and actually I visited this blog for some answers. One thing that I do when this problem starts is cleaning the cache of iPhone X. The same has been explained on video link below

But this too is a temporary fix. After 2-3 days again the problem starts occurring. Apple should really work on this problem.

I have the exact same problem. I have thousands of contacts in my address book. Could it be it’s trying to find the person in the address book to display their name and pic if assigned and it’s taking up to 5-7 rings before it can find it?

I find that to be the only possibility but when looking up contacts it’s fast so where’s the bottleneck?

I also have an iPhone X. Same problem occurred with my previous iPhone 6S.

Thanks to the initial person for bringing up this topic. It’s quite frustrating and people always ask “why does it take you so long to answer the phone”. It’s now getting embarrassing.

I also have a serious problem when adding a calander event. When I click location the phone freezes. Both again on 6S and X phones.

Also, I notice there’s no cashing of common words when typing. The predictive typing is just absurd. Pulls words in other languages from the notes field in my address book.

Any way to clear cash to try to resolve the problem?

It’s beyond Apple to solve this problem, they are accepting the issue but so many months and still unable to solve the issue. Does Apple have an amateur tech team? Do they need to get people from competing brands who obviously perform better these days.

Disappointed with this situation of Apple and I can repeatedly say Apple is going no where. And very soon they will launch a replacement phone to iPhone X and drop the market value of iPhone X

Hi there

The solution is very simple and has nothing to do with IOS!

Just follow these steps

Hard reset your iPhone X

Go to Bluetooth settings and FORGET THIS DEVICE that states BMW

DELETE device from settings on car screen

Add new device and pair with iPhone

Most importantly after pairing allow all contacts and favorites to SYNC for about 10 minutes

Any questions

03 days with iOS 11.3 beta 6 without problems.

Before updating, I forgot all bluetooth devices, I do not know if there could be any relationship.

"iOS 11.3 beta 6 solved it. To install it without a developer account, install this iOS beta profile: bit.ly/2n7vfLi.

After the reboot, go to settings->general->software update and install the new update."
