My iPhone X Screen dims on its own For about 10-15 minutes Then gets brighter again All on its own! I do not have auto brightness on I do not have tutone on I have no settings on that would affect the screen it’s very annoying paying $1200 for a phone and this is happening. I love Apple have every single product they make.
ANY THOUGHTS ON WHATS CAUSING THIS?

I also believe that this is a heat related issue. It happens to me almost every day, but it always seems to be when the phone is connected to a charger, and specifically when the phone is warm to the touch.

Do that and set up the phone as new, NOT from a backup. If it continues, make a genius bar appointment.

well I did do as they said and restored the phone to new settings and did not back up my data… It is still Dimming!!!
I haven't had this problem on my iPhone X, but it sounds like an anti-screen burning in feature since the iPhone X uses Samsung's OLED screens. So it would make sense, but I'm not 100% sure.
My IPhone X dims the screen when it has been in direct sunlight. Then when I take in into shade it brightens again. Maybe it’s something to keep the phone cool over long periods of time in sunlight??

I had the same problem.
Try the following: turn off Reduce White Point by
Settings>General>Accessibility>Display Accomodations>Reduce White Point
Worked for me.
Reduce White Point is already turned off in my case.
Go to settings, general, accessibility, display accommodations and check that the “reduce white point” option is off.
