My iPhone X Screen dims on its own For about 10-15 minutes Then gets brighter again All on its own! I do not have auto brightness on I do not have tutone on I have no settings on that would affect the screen it’s very annoying paying $1200 for a phone and this is happening. I love Apple have every single product they make.
ANY THOUGHTS ON WHATS CAUSING THIS?

I have been having this issue also. I have noticed it more while testing an app that is currently under development. It seems to happen when the phone has been under a considerable load. While debugging - I can see the energy usage of the app is very high. After some time the phone begins to heat up. While looking into this, I found another thread that said it was because of heat. I am tending to think this is probably right. After the phone cools off it seems to go back to normal.
My phone does that too. It only does it when its hot or is being overused. The only way to make it go back to normal is if i let it cool down or put it on AC. There’s no actual selection on settings that can make this go away. Just gotta deal with it 😕 🏻♀
I’m also having this issue on my iPhone X, I bought the phone on day one. My software is also fully up to date. Auto brightness is off and the phone is not under heavy load. I’m able to turn it back up in control center immediately, if I can see the screen outside 😢
There's no way to fix this problem, this is a built in feature.
No matter if you turn off every options related to brightness or color, the phone will continues change the brightness for itself.
The only solution is upgrade to android, I highly recommend the note 9.
