iPhone screen dims randomly

It’s a feature of all iPhones that I think is rather not needed and is a pain so if anyone who helps design software for apple reads this take this out before I mod the software and do it my self

My brightness is up and I’ve reset my iPhone X still does it... just goes darker on its own

My iPhone X dims when it’s exposed to sunlight. This is a pain because I use the phone to do field work. Would appreciate work around assistance.

This isn’t a iPhone X problem. This is a iOS problem. I have the same problem on my iPhone 7 and since it has been more than a year that I purchased I can’t do anything about it.

However, (as I read it anyway), you don't make it clear whether your solution is to turn both the auto-brightnesses on or to turn them both off. Could you clarify please?

As it can be seen on both screenshots, that I sent with my reply, you have to turn both of them off if you don’t want any Auto-Brighteness!

i also do have that kind of screen dimming on my iPhone X. The screen automatically dims but the brightness level at the control center is maximum.😢

This does not help, even when the brightness is all the way up in my control center it still gets dimm

This is stupid. Apple is forcing my iPhone X to dim. I can even look at my phone while wearing my sunglasses.

My iPhone X has been dimming on its own as well. Should I co fact Apple, or should I save my breath?

The main problem is can’t play PUBG game in dim mode coz couldn’t see the enemy to shoot... it’s really annoying and waste of buying the game and the phone

Mine still does it ! I can’t see my phone outside half the time because of this!
