updated to iOS11 and now auto-brightness does not work. I know it has moved to 'Display Accommodations' but the toggle switch is not there. I have tried hard reset, reverting to previous backup, complete wipe and reset. None of these options made a difference.

It’s a 6. Screen has been replaced, but auto-brightness worked with new screen before iOS upgrade.
HI have tried all combinations of the settings I have and no auto brightnesss toggle comes up.
Was this an Apple screen or 3rd party? If it was a 3rd party the newer version of the software may not be able to contact the auto brightness sensor so no option is provided.
Not quite the same.. but why when I physically move the brightness it goes up, but as soon as I release it drops
So you also do not have auto brightness showing and this is happening and you replaced your screen?
Hi Deggie, it is 3rd party screen, socthis could be the reason. Do You know if this sort of issue is usually resolved in future updates or should I look for an OEM screen?
