For me, adjusting the Notifications did NOT work, what worked was removing and re-installing Pandora. No issues since then, it does not auto start anything until asked to do so by the Bluetooth linked device, and if I have Pandora open on my phone, it goes right back to the same song. Only shows in the lock screen when they're actively playing.
I get the same thing. It is super annoying. I have updated everything and it will not stop.
That is a temporary fix as issue will reappear next time phone is connected via Bluetooth to an external audio source (such as car stereo)

I am also having the same issue. Restarting the phone should not be a “fix”. I can see if i left the app open, but if i close it, close the controls
So every time I use Pandora (what starts this issue), you are telling me I have to do a soft reset of my phone?!? That’s a bit ridiculous.

I updated my phone and it made no difference! Huge mistake for Apple to assume they can make this decision for you!
That’s a temporary fix. Next time you go to music player it happens again. Annoying!!

Mine started doing this after my last update. It did not do this before but now it won't go away. It doesn't matter whether or not I've had it plugged into an external audio source or bluetooth. It's just there....ALL THE TIME!!😠
I went to general and reset the network settings.. It worked for me.
Mine stayed for a while, then I updated & it went away. I recently updated my phone last night, and it’s back again. It’s pretty annoying.
