In the Apple Support Communities Terms of Use you will find the email address for the Hosts in § 1.13 along with language that would encompass someone having a problem with their username

This thread (and others like it) OR starting one of your own is still the actual preferred way to get username changed

It is NOT supposed to be EASY

If you think about it, folks being able to change their usernames willy nilly at will would cause great confusion regarding who is who

Some folks are notorious and need an eye kept upon them by we user volunteers on the front lines

Typically you make a request in this thread and one of the regular contributors with reporting privileges, level 2 or above, will alert the hosts. You can also use the email address communityaccounts@apple.com to get in touch directly. I've taken your post to be a name change request and passed it on so you should hear from them shortly.

You would have had to select a username when you posted here on the ASC. I will notify the hosts, and they should get in touch with you via email.

It really doesn't matter whether your user name is related to your actual location. As there is a limited number of times (once, I think) that the Hosts will change your username unless there are serious issues, I'd suggest choosing one you'll be comfortable with no matter where you move to in the future.

The Hosts contact you via email -

I imagine that they changed it to something they made up because they did not hear back from you

Check your SPAM/Junk folder of your email account for the message from communityhosts@apple.com

Okay. My response is still the same. I've reported your request to the hosts. It may take a couple of days. It appears it was original reported over the weekend.
