Change username of Apple Support Communities

And me also please, I was trying to view a topic I found via Google and rather quickly accepted the license agreement without checking my username; which I'd really like to change.

And it has been changed from that quoted in the initial post. In earlier versions of the forum software a username change required a lot more effort. These days we all have a hidden data-user-id which is only associated with an actual username when the page is generated. Change the username in one record and the new username appears everywhere. The hosts seem more amenable to requests to change usernames these days. You know how to get in touch with them if you really want a change.

You're welcome. Yes, the Hosts will contact you via email (secret that only they can see from your Apple ID)

If it takes too long, be sure to check your Junk/SPAM folder of your email account (I get several false positives from Apple.com email addresses per week - sometimes a LOT)

I don't know. It will depend on what other issues the moderators are dealing with. They should contact you by email. If you haven't heard from them in a day or two ask here again and I'll send a reminder.

I am also looking for a username change. I didn't realize I was set up on my work account when I made the username and would like to change it to something more appropriate.

I wish to change my username as well.. 😕 Agree screen appeared and wanted me to check the box (licence agreement), I clicked to Confirm and noticed the auto generated username at the top :/ Really awful website design if you ask me 😐

Is there any other way other than replying to this thread in order to get your Apple Communities username changed ?

May I also change my support communities username? It was just assigned to me without any option to choose (I didn't see any screen asking me for anything!), and gives away too much personal information.

Same issue here. Wanted to read something in a hurry and accepted the auto-generated username thinking I would change it later. I'd like to change it now but it appears there is no self service to do that. Can you please help?

Is this where we go to request username changes? Hehe, I see some "higher ups" on this thread taking requests from people. I too would like to change my username. Don't wish for it to be my actual name. Thanks.

I would highly appreciate this account's username being changed to deleteaccount1 or perhaps removed if that will free the username. I've changed my legal name and had to create a new Apple ID in which everything is set up properly. Unfortunately, my Apple Support Communities account username is stuck to this old Apple ID.

Hoping the hosts will be so kind as to help me. I have not yet chosen a username for the new Apple ID, so I imagine that I will be able to pick this one after it's changed or removed. That way my identity will be consistent across the Apple Support and Developer forums, and elsewhere.
