Deleting a dead wifi network from AppleTV

The wireless router that my AppleTV was connected to died. I have a new wireless router now, but I can't get into AppleTV to delete the old wifi info so I can enter the new. What's the trick?

Hi. Which model Apple TV do you have? See this link: Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support.

If you have Apple TV 4 or 4K (small black remote), it's the same as an iPhone or iPad. Go in to Settings > Network, and select the new network. You cannot forget the old one if it's not connected, but it will never be used once the new network is connected.
