Audio interfaces stopped working with OS-X update 10.13.2

I updated my operating system High Sierra, OS-X today with 10.13.2 and now my audio interfaces are not recognizable. I.e. if I plug an audio interface into the USB port, the device would show in the list of input and output sound devices. They now do not. One of them was an M-Audio Fast Track Pro, so I found the latest drivers, installed them and also updated the firmware on the device. It still could not be recognized.

I have an Eleven Rack that has a USB interface for use with Apple's Logic software. I worked before I upgraded to 10.13.2.

Any thoughts or answers? This shuts down my recording. I'm dead in the water here now.

Thanks in advance of any replies,

David

Pete:

I'm a loyal macbook pro fan because I'm a seasoned IT professional and I've been a software developer for over 35 years. I've been playing the guitar for 51 years. I'm 55. My wife gave me Logic for a birthday present and I created an album by myself, playing all instruments and put it on Reverb Nation (? if I remember right), iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc. I can't imagine the musical damage I could have done if I had this stuff as a kid. Long-story-short, I'll help you fight the fight with this.

I also would like to communicate with you via email (my email david@ciwise.com) about midi some. I'm a software developer of C, C++, Java, COBOL, Python, Ruby, Rust, etc. ... all these languages and I don't know anything about all these MIDI plugs on everything I have on all the fun devices I have. I would like to become friends and share worlds so to speak. I know how to build infrastructure to reach the masses. I am an Enterprise and Solutions Architect for big business. I consult on IT integrations solutions. What's funny is that I can hook up anything in the IT world because I understand how it all works and as a guitar player know only about what I've used for live situations. I have Mainstage and I think I can use MIDI to control things if I play solo. That's why I want to learn more about MIDI because I think I can change effects, switch channels, turn up volume, start and stop play-along tracks, etc. I can't commit to music full time but I sure would love to play live again around Raleigh, NC.

Oh, I'm not updating anything on this macbook pro. I rolled back last night and I haven't even plugged in the M-Audio to see if it's recognized. This computer costs 3K and even though it's for my consulting business, it's my music outlet too. After my upgrade, everything broke! No more upgrades until I know for sure what Apple is doing.

Email me if you wouldn't mind conversing about all this stuff off and on. I promise I won't worry the **** out of you, lol. Thanks too for your comprehensive reply.
