CNBC app Live stream quality on Apple TV

I have numerous apps installed on my new Apple TV 4K with no streaming issues whatsoever, except for the Live stream from the CNBC app, which alternately goes from looking perfect to blurry/pixelated and freezing. Wifi download speed via Comcast/Xfinity is 250 Mbps so that's not the issue. Even the On Demand content via this app streams fine. I've uninstalled/reinstalled but it hasn't helped. Anyone else having issues with the Live feed in this app?

I have periodic freezing, buffering, repeating, on live streaming using the CNBC, CNN, and FoxNews apps. For example, tonight Fox News was live streaming through my Apple TV (4th generation) to my TV just fine and suddenly I noticed it was repeating again. I signed to FoxNews live on my Mac at the same time, and the time indicated (FoxNews content had a countdown to a Senate Vote) via my Apple TV was 15 minutes behind what it showed on my Mac.) Both were connected using Wi-Fi.

But my example was of a problem with Fox News. I get this on live stream periodically with Fox News, CNBC, and CNN, and you are right, the shows and clips from all three of them play flawlessly. Some one else suggested that I connect via Ethernet rather than wireless (which is all but impossible for me to do), but it can't be only CNBC's issue, if I'm seeing it on FoxNews and CNN some also, can it? And since these all are flawless showing on my Mac and also on my iPhone (all using the same wireless internet as the Apple TV box uses), that leads me to wonder if the problem is in the AppleTV box.

I have the same problem. Changed from wifi to wired and have the same issue. I'm on Google Fiber. It's not us, it's them...

Thanks for the info, I was beginning to think I was the only one having this problem. Can't be my wifi either since my last few Ookla speed tests have been close to 300 Mbps with fast pings and no packet loss. Literally ALL of my other Live and On Demand video streaming apps work flawlessly (Netflix, prime video, Bloomberg, Sky News, HBO GO, SHO Anytime, PBS, ESPN, NBC Sports, etc.). I believe even the On Demand content within the CNBC app itself streams fine, it's the Live stream that's the problem. Who's responsible though, Apple, CNBC, someone else? Not even sure who to contact in a situation like this or if they monitor this forum.

Elizabeth, I realize that this is the Apple TV forum, but ... what I've failed to mention, and what is happening to me right now, is that the Live feed on my iPad app (build 4.6.0) is just as bad as the Live feed on the Apple TV app. Virtually unwatchable. If you would please pass this along to the app developer(s), I would appreciate it.

CNBC live feed terrible again this morning ... stuttering, fuzzy, freezing, etc. Who developed and/or maintains this app anyway? How do we get the word to them that something is wrong here? The on-demand content from the app is always fine. My wi-fi connection is solid (300 Mbps) and the live feed from my other Apple TV apps (Bloomberg, etc.) is flawless. Hate having to change HDMI inputs over to my Xfinity X1 DVR every morning just so I can watch CNBC. 😠

Yes I have the new Apple TV also. I watch CNBC live stream all the time. They recently "updated" the app and it made the problem you're describing WORSE!

I actually just moved one of my OLD Apple TVs to my main TV which I use to watch CNBC just so I can watch CNBC. Oddly enough the app on the OLD Apple TV works better than the new one (By old I mean an apple TV pre-siri remote)

The CNBC live stream on the New Apple TV is unwatchable. It's clearly a CNBC app problem because I stream many other channels live content without the same issues.

They don't seem quick to fix this issue. Or they have done little to no testing of the "updated app"

That was an email that another user posted on the forum to show communication from the developer, you would need to contact them directly to give that feedback

Ooops ... well, as long as I brought it up ... are others who are following this thread having similar problems with the Live feed in the CNBC iOS app like I am?

I have an issue when watching the live CNBC broadcast stream recently. I will get a good picture with audio for 5-10 seconds, after which both will disappear, and I get a "null" message on the screen with a hazed out CNBC graphic background. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn't seem to work. All other apps working fine. Any thoughts or help appreciated.
