CNBC app Live stream quality on Apple TV

I have numerous apps installed on my new Apple TV 4K with no streaming issues whatsoever, except for the Live stream from the CNBC app, which alternately goes from looking perfect to blurry/pixelated and freezing. Wifi download speed via Comcast/Xfinity is 250 Mbps so that's not the issue. Even the On Demand content via this app streams fine. I've uninstalled/reinstalled but it hasn't helped. Anyone else having issues with the Live feed in this app?

I have an issue when watching the live CNBC broadcast stream recently. I will get a good picture with audio for 5-10 seconds, after which both will disappear, and I get a "null" message on the screen with a hazed out CNBC graphic background. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn't seem to work. All other apps working fine. Any thoughts or help appreciated.

CNBC live feed terrible again this morning ... stuttering, fuzzy, freezing, etc. Who developed and/or maintains this app anyway? How do we get the word to them that something is wrong here? The on-demand content from the app is always fine. My wi-fi connection is solid (300 Mbps) and the live feed from my other Apple TV apps (Bloomberg, etc.) is flawless. Hate having to change HDMI inputs over to my Xfinity X1 DVR every morning just so I can watch CNBC. 😠

Elizabeth, I realize that this is the Apple TV forum, but ... what I've failed to mention, and what is happening to me right now, is that the Live feed on my iPad app (build 4.6.0) is just as bad as the Live feed on the Apple TV app. Virtually unwatchable. If you would please pass this along to the app developer(s), I would appreciate it.

This is 6 weeks after the original post - I have been having and continue to have the same problems described above. The start of the problems correlate with the app update - it used to work great - it became poor.


Now it does not work at all. when I start streaming live tv within a few seconds (it does run of a short time) I get a message "A network error occurred when communicating with the provider's authorization service"


I also use the CBS live news feed (when markets are closed, for example) and that app/service has been excellent for a long time and continues so. Thus I presume that the problem is not my network speed or quality nor is it something fundamental with my cable service provider.


It must be your app or your relationship with Spectrum or both.


I would gladly watch your channel every day... but now I cannot watch at all, so I go elsewhere.
