Me too!! No impact, same thing.
I phone x lens cracked how to charge
i am having this issue with my 3 month old iphone xs
I took mine in a few weeks ago. Apple said it was accidental damage as it didn’t leave the factory like that. The whole camera has to be replaced - UK cost is £400. Mine is caused by a weakness around the microphone which is built into the camera. Disapointing!
Same issue - my phone has always been in a case, never dropped, never in my pocket with keys, the rest of the phones looks absolutely perfect with no scratches or anything and suddenly today the glass on the camera is cracked by the mic hole - like it’s caved in almost. This is an obvious desgin flaw if so many people are saying the exact same thing has happened. I’ve had every iPhone since the 3g and I’ve never had an any issue with any of them - this is the first time and I 100% know I didn’t drop it or do anything to abuse it in the least. I really hope Apple addresses this soon.
I put a protective case with a cover that protects the lens with a recessed Very THICK case. And the thin cheap lens glass on the iPhone X 256 cracked in my pocket with nothing else in my pocket. What’s the deal Apple? I was told that I would have to use up one of my AppleCare replacements and it would cost me $99 to fix this… They will give me another phone with another thin, weak defective glass lens cover. It will just happen again! What are you gonna do about this Apple?

Apple, the ONLY FAIR SOLUTION is reengineer, strengthen the lens. Make a lens shield READILY available. And repair or replace iPhones with an “anemic“ lens glass.
Can you say: “Takata”?

Hi reading your report had same thing happen to me my i phone 7 overheated on monday whislt in my bag took out temperature was reading red danger level turned off was red hot, when i turned back on noticed camera lense was broke which had only happened when it over heated i have not dropped. Went into apple today not impressed waiting for report back from their technicians but they basically saying its saphine lense and impossible to break and dont think it will be covered but they can sort out over heating and now battery draining but none of this my fault as im am reading quite a lot of people having same issue. Just trying to find information obviously apple do have a problem but need to sort this fault out.
Genius at the Apple Store have latitude to do what they want. Killing them with kindness seems to sometimes offer rewards.
