Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I am trying to use an external microphone on my iPhone X via the fire jack and adapter that came with the phone. I am using Filmic Pro app. But the phone is not recognizing the external input. Same thing is happening when I try to use the external mic and the native camera app.
Any suggestions as to where I'm going wrong?

I recently posted a YouTube video of how I used a Sony mic and receiver with my new iPhone X. Worked perfectly. The video show how to hook it up.

Yes, the adapters work. In this thread it is explained why. You need 4 bands in the adapter, not the 3 that comes with the usual lightning adapters.
