Why are text messages disappearing

So I guess there is still no solution for this problem? I have it too on 6s

I've been having the identical issue the past several months. Missed an important meeting because of this bug.

I realize that it is a regular user, is that where the “Apple recommended” comes from also?

Then being rude to them is even less forgivable.

I only get some of the lost messages in iMessage on my iPad not all of them???

Thanks for the link, I hadn't had time to investigate, and sure as **** wasn't going to wait hours speaking to level 1-2 tech support.

So no solution yet??

Mine was already on persistent. Apple needs to address this problem ASAP!

Mine is iPhone6+ OS 11.4.1. Same issue as you (and others).

Have also submitted bug report to Apple.

Mine too, getting tired of turning my phone on to watch txt messages dissapear 😕 i hope they fix it.

I turn it off so it doesn’t disturb me or my family. I will try airplane mode. Lost amother one this morning after I toggled history off. Also have the new uograde. Nothoid Apple . Very unimpressed
