Imac on osx 10.7.5 not installing iphoto 9.4.3

My iMac runs on OSX 10.7.5 and iPhoto version 9.2.1. Recently I downloaded photos from my macbook pro which has iPhoto 9.4.3 to IMAC. Since then I can't open my photo library in I MAC and I read following message.

You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of i photo. Do you want to quit and use the latest version of I photo, or do you want to create a new photo library?

when I quit the message nothing happens. My software updates show i photo 9.4.3 as available for download but download stops after trying for a while.

At this point the message the downloaded file may be corrupt.

You could try to download the iPhoto 9.4.3 update directly from this page: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1650?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

It will not install however, if iPhoto on your iMac is an AppStore version.

In that case copy simply the complete iPhoto 9.4.3 application from the Applications folder on your Mac Book pro over to the Applications folder on your iMac.
