iPhone passcode change required

A few days ago I installed outlook on my iPhone SE so I could received work emails. Now I am getting notices on my iPhone to change passcode to a letter and number combo and it won't allow me to circumvent. I erased my phone and restored it, removing the outlook app after it was restored. However, it has started with the request again. I looked under mail, contacts, calendars and used the general search.. there is no sign of outlook on my phone. I also tried to turn off passcode completely but it is greyed out. Help please... It feels like the corporation somehow messed with my phone so even with erasing it I can't get rid of them!

When connecting to an Exchange server, the administrators can enforce policies on the phone, including required passcode changes. Restore iOS again or erase all content and settings and do NOT restore your backup. Set it up as a new phone. The policies they have pushed down are contained in your backup.

yes... That is what I ended up doing. I had to choose a new crazy password just to get to my settings.. I then erased the phone and DID NOT restore (only after restoring a few times and having the same issue repeatedly). Unfortunately I can't find my updated contacts in the cloud or iTunes even after syncing (before the erase), but it's still the best option.

Joash, Lawrence's answer is the key to resolving this.

If you backed up your iPhone using iTunes and still have this back up saved, you could try the following to get your contacts back.

In Settings / General / About. Change the name of your iPhone.

Back up your phone using iTunes.

In iTunes on your computer, when you go to settings then select the devices tab, you should see 2 backups.

Listen to any new voicemails and read new texts. You will lose any that were received prior to your backup before you wiped your phone after the next step.

In iTunes, restore your iPhone to its state when Outlook was still installed.

Follow Lawrence's steps to remove your company's device management profile.

Check to see if your contacts are back. If so, back up your phone one more time.

If your contacts are not back, restore your phone to the other backup.
