Unable to remove custom made ringtone from my iphone x

Hi everyone.

I wanted to delete a list of custom made ringtones from my iPhone and I used iTunes to do that. I deleted the files from the tones section on my device but Manually manage music and videos option wasn't checked. Now I don't see the files in my iTunes library anymore, but they are still on my phone and no matter how many times I try syncing the device with iTunes, I can't find a way to sync them back to my iTunes library and then to delete them.

I tried reauthorizing my computer and dropping the files manually back to the library but they couldn't be synced and still nothing happened.

Can anyone help me?

Try downloading the free version of Syncios for either a Mac or PC from www.syncios.com. I had the same problem as you. Even though I deleted the file from iTunes it would not delete from my iPhone after syncing to my Mac. I used Syncios to delete the ringtone and it was ez-pz. Took longer to download the app than to dfelete the ringtone. Hope this helps. Apple should not make this so **** difficult to force us to use a third party app. Should be able to do it right on on the iPhone, but alas, no.

I’ve got the exact same problem the files not on iTunes anymore in fact it’s gone deleted.

Yet the phone still thinks it’s there and I can’t get rid of it even if I put the tone back onto iTunes. It’s ever since the update to iOS 11.2.5 in my case
