Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that since updating to iOS 11.2.5 you're having trouble with your battery draining faster than normal. I know how important it is for your device to stay charged properly, I'd like to help. First I'd recommend reviewing the information here regarding iPhone Battery and Performance
Next, you can use these steps to see how your battery is being consumed as well as Settings you can change to get the most from your battery:
About the battery usage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touchCheck battery usage
Go to Settings > Battery.
To see how long each app has been open and running in the background, tap . Under each app, you might see these usage types:
- Background Activity means that your battery is used while apps run in the background.
- Audio means that apps play audio while running in the background.
- No Cell Coverage and Low Signal means that your device is searching for a signal or being used with a low signal.
- Backup & Restore indicates that your device has been backing up to iCloud or restoring from an iCloud backup.
- Location and Background Location means that your battery was used when tracking your device.
Adjust settings to improve battery life
While viewing your battery usage, you might get a suggestion like Enable Auto-Brightness or Adjust Display Brightness. This is because iOS determined that changing these settings could improve your battery life. You can also see the usage times since the last full charge.

What happens when you turn iCloud back on?
As soon as tried rurning iCloud Drive back on, the battery instantly started dropping again.
Interesting, for me it was an instant and dramatic difference
Have you read my post on previous page, worked for me.
I've always had my iCloud Drive OFF. I've never had it on and my iPhone 8 battery drains like crazy running ios 11.2.5
For me turning iMessages off and on in Settings -> Messages fixed this issue. Before my phone would be drained at the end of the day and now it easily lasts the whole day again.
Turning off iMessage is what helped me too.
It doesn’t work for me unfortunately.
I have iPhone 6S, and have same issue. I could battery was draining really fast. If anyone knows how to fix, please share.
Does my 5 months old iPhone 7 Plus need a new battery as well? I don’t think it is a good solution. The problem is iOS 11 not battery...
IPhone 7 batteries are covered under Apple’s new iPhone reduced priced battery replacement program, too!
So some iPhone 7 users are having issues with iOS 11 related to battery integrity issues, too!
İphone 11.2.5 battery problem !!!!!!!! Help iPhone bıktık artık
Mine is just 4 days old. My iPhone 8 and the battery drains like I have been using the mobile for 5 years. 🙄. Enough with the procurement of new battery, it’s becoming annoying.
