Apple Watch has unpaired itself from phone - help

Overnight (at my best guess) my Apple Watch 3 unpaired itself from my iPhone 6. It shows as connected in Bluetooth, but data is not transferred to the Health and Activity apps, and the Apple Watch app can not configure the Watch.


Have tried toggling Bluetooth on the phone and turning both devices off and then on again. No luck.


The only remedy I have found here is to reset the Watch and re-pair it with the phone, but that means losing all the data on the Watch, and today’s activity data I *really* do not want to lose.

If your Apple Watch continues to lose its connection with your iPhone unexpectedly, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:
