google calendar shortcut on my desktop

I have a mac book pro, but, unfortunately, I need to use google calendar for business. I know I can't get the app on my doc, but is there a way to have a shortcut on my desktop? Or a shortcut where I don't have to open my browser to open the calendar?

Ability to hover over date/time with option to add to calendar gone in Catalina? Previously you could hover over a date/time, in say an email, and a little drop down arrow would appear. If you clicked on it, you could then add the event to your calendar and it would repopulate as much of the information from the email as it could into the event. stop mac calendar from opening up I use Google calendar for everything. However, when I accept any invitations, etc. the Calendar on my Mac automatically opens. Is there any way to prevent that from opening when dealing with any calendar issues?

Click on the Icon next to the browser web address and drag it on to the desktop.
