If you are asking about a software instrument track: Have you tried to select all regions in the guitar track at once, then open the editor and shift the Transpose slider to -12 (for one octave)?
It may not work, if the selected Guitar patch does not support the lower notes. All software instruments have a limited range of notes they can play. In that case switch the patch for the track to a bass instrument.
Leonie, thanks... but still confused. When I click the “scissors” icon for editor, I get 100 Point “pitch. correction” slider but NOT the 12 Point “transpose” slider. What do I click to find the pitch changer???
Greetings HT. Many thanks- problem solved. BUT IN STRANGE WAY! Noticed in pic you included that pitch correction bar was quite low at bottom of page. Not visible on my page. Somehow thought to click “full screen”... and there it was! There all the time- just couldn’t see it!!! Hey I’m new at this! Actually have a bass guitar but it’s in NJ and I’m out of state for the winter... now I can play! Thx🍷
I use my electric guitar to do bass lines by plugging into a bass patch. under the guitar, there is clean bass, crunch bass.Or you could plug a mic into a bass patch if your guitar has no pick-up. I saw a guy on youtube do it just using the built-in mic and acoustic guitar.
Then you are recording an audio track and not a software instrument track and then HangTime's solution applies. 🙂
I prefer software instrument tracks, if possible.
