Calendar help! Too many repeat calendars - how to remove?
This is in the desktop area because I think it's not really an iTunes issue. If it is I'll be happy to post in there as well.
I have a brand new iMac and ever since I imported all my settings and stuff from my old iMac I've been having issues with the stupid calendar.
For some strange reason the calendar in iCloud overrides the regular calendar through Itunes. I've corrected this and deleted the iCloud calendars a few times and started over to no avail. that stupid iCloud calendar keeps popping up and defaults itself as my daily calendar.
I do not or rather have not backed up to iCloud in months because of this and have deleted ALL calendars from there manually and purposefully left the mandatory "calendar" in the cloud blank. I still have this nonsense when I go and sync.
When I hook up to iTunes it arbitrarily puts calendars in there too. Now I have a 'reminder' calendar I never asked for! So instead of being able to leave my old iTunes settings as they were, I now have to manually pick and choose which calendars to sync. Also, iCloud keeps " checking" itself in the calendar side bar. see images below.
So I check iCloud and only the "calendar" is there. I have it "unchecked" so it's not 'active'.
HOW do I get rid of all these things within iTunes? Seems there is no "delete" option to remove unwanted and other calendars. Everything that says "null" - what does that mean? I never added those in, nor set them up in icloud. I want them gone.
There are calendars that are unchecked that I no longer need and never will need (USS Challenger for example) and it's still there. Yes, I can delete them from my phone but when I have to sync to iTunes, they all come back again. I'm spending way too much time on calendars.
I put a suggestion in to Apple that it might be a good idea if we can have the ability to sync calendars and contacts separately from iTunes. Found out that if more than one person submits the same suggestion/idea they actually give it some thought. I doubt this will happen though because it's too logical 😝
Any help is appreciated.
