iPhone 6s Plus turns off randomly and locks up on black screen after phone calls

IPhone 6s turns off randomly and locks up on a black after making or receiving calls. Have to hold power button for it to come back. Also the battery life drops quickly. Any idea the cause of these issues?? Thanks in advance! Picture is of it randomly turning off!!

my iphone won't turn off All of the sudden, when my screen is blank and I tap it to get the home screen, I get some shady version of a call in progress. Iphone 7 plus screen black out The screen on my iPhone 7 plus started to go black around the edges until there was only an oval shaped window left on the screen. Pushed the power button, hit the home button and all was well. It did this two more times randomly, then went totally black. I am getting texts and phone calls, but the screen is still black. Hard reset didn't work. Any suggestions?

You might be seeing a well known bug, if it applies address it here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208332

Do you know what version of iOS is on your phone now? Was it up to date?

Try https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203899

If nothing in there works for you, after making a backup:

1) Make sure iTunes is updated on your computer

2) Plug in your phone and then hold down the home button and sleep/wake button until you see the iTunes logo.

3) When iTunes pops up a dialog box asking you what to do, select "update" and let it do its thing.

If that doesn't work you will need to contact Apple Support directly.

Software: iOS 11.2.5. Yes up to date.
