iMovie for iPad broken since iOS 11 update

I have used iMovie on my iPad for quite a while - very handy to edit and prepare short clips before creating full length movie on my iMac. Since the iOS 11 update iMovie is really broken.

importing clips has no rhyme or reason as sometimes the project I’m importing to has disappeared or sometimes it creates another as Movie 1.I then have to delete this movie, close the programme and hope the original project shows up.

Even if I manage to import a series of clips when I play the movie some appear just as black clips.

sad To say - and I’ve been with Apple since the beginning - yes, a long time - but I’d think the plot is being lost!

interstingly I note the news today says Apple is putting of some updates - thank goodness - to sort things out. Yes please!!

I’m in the same boat. iMovie is broken on my iPhone 6S since the last iOS update. Movies no longer export in a readable format for YouTube. I have to export entire projects to MacBook and then export them there. HIGHLY irritating.

Thanks for reply. Apart from iMovie iOS 11 has been fine for me, but I believe others have had a bad time, and Apple is very quiet about the problems with ios11. Shame, because it would be better if we actually heard from them from time time. I found iMovie very n the iPad to be very useful, but Hey that’s updates for you - must have them but they don’t always improve things. My MacBook is much slower than two years ago, but that’s another story!
