Only iMessage, no Text messages on ipad

Thanks for the link. Had not noticed that the iPhone had checked my email address under “start new conversations from”, instead of my phone number. Don’t know how that changed, but that was the problem.

One person’s texts would only come to his phone, never his Mac as well. He did not have text forwarding on and apparently this was the only friend he texted who didn’t use iMessage. Frustrating but only involved one person’s texts.

Thanks twice. Turns out a three-year-old related issue my husband had in his Mac has been solved by the same info you directed me to.

Hahaha. Our son came to dinner and he didn’t know about text forwarding either. My family thinks I’m a genius, solving all their problems. You probably think we are all idiots.
