Popup remover – Scam Zapper
If the pop-up reloads, force quit Safari (command - option/alt - esc) and reopen with the shift key held down. If that doesn't work, disconnect from the Internet, go to Safari/History and delete the website. Quit and reopen with the shift key held down. Then reconnect to the Internet.
I have the same problem also getting invalid certificate pop up
How does one get rid of that?
Thanks for trying. This removed the cookie but the pop up is still there. Sorry.
I have this problem too!
Same for me, the Avast virus check eliminated the problem. None of the other "super removers" did anything.
Thank you, Beth and Franco! AVAST worked for me, too. Thanks, Avast!
Worked for me too so thanks everyone
Thanks everyone Avast worked for me also.
For some reason Avast was blocking my incoming email. I turned off the "mail shield" and everything has been working normally. I did not experience my computer slowing down after installing Avast.
I use apple mail. Mail Shield is part of the Avast application. You will not find it unless you have installed Avast. It's function is to scan incoming mail for potential threats.
I have tried Eric's and other suggestions here and in other forums and AVAST worked immediately for me.
Thanks That Worked For Me.
As an update, switching to Firefox solved it too. I haven't had time or inclination to pursue other suggestions, but defecting from Safari is an option.
This did not work to get rid of the popup on ebay. I tried it though. Thanks
I think I am in over my head I have zero clue what "the console" is on my MacBook.
