Why is my MacBook Air charger turning yellow where it connects to my laptop? Is it still safe to use it to charge my laptop?

Hi, clareyip2003,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! From your post, I understand that you have some concerns and questions related to the fact that your MacBook Air MagSafe charger is displaying an amber light when connected. I'm happy to help!

An amber light indicates that the MagSafe adapter is currently charging your MacBook Air. If you feel as though the color of the LED is incorrect for the computer's current state (green means the computer is fully charged, amber or red means it is charging), you can reset the System Management Controller, or SMC: How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support .

Have a great day!
