MAC address filtering preventing wireless printer setup
trying To set up wireless printer using iPhone X hotspot.
error message says MAC address filtering is interfering with setup.
suggestions?

You cannot print to a wireless printer from your iPhone that's not connected to a WiFi network. The AirPrint protocol requires your iOS device and the printer to be on the same WiFi network. If the printer is connected to your iPhones personal hotspot then that's impossible.
Many thanks, but how do I do this on my iPhone? I do not have a Mac.
MAC address filtering is a router feature it let the router have a list of MAC addresses which it will traffic data for and if one has a MA address not on the list one can't use the network
2 options
1. add the printers mac address to the positive list
2. turn off mac address filtering
