I'm recording voiceover and need to edit out each intake of breath. I want the voice track to the right of my playhead to immediately slide to the left to fill a clip I've just deleted without dragging it. Is this possible?

you can also add a keyboard shortcut so that you don't have to use the menuItem. this video shows how to do it in about a minute and a half:
