I have a Cannon Powershot SX220 HS and want to use photostitch but Canon do not support MacOS. Any suggestions for an alternative software please or how can I install and use Canon's photostitch on my Macbook Pro?

I have Canon's Photostitch v 3.2.4.25(BL) and it runs nicely on High Sierra. It came with one of my first Canon digital cameras.
Also there's a free app, AutoStitch, from the University of British Colombia that might do what you want.
There's also a free, open source app called Hugin that's available.
I spent ages on the Canon site, downloaded ms silverlight as the canon package failed to instal stating silverlight was missing. it runs but there is no option to use photo stitch despite searching and installing all available software/ drivers I am told via Canon support that photo stitch isn't available for either my camera or my version of MacOS. Should you know of any work around I would be grateful.
Have used photo stitch with the camera but not on this Mac.
Just tired Hugin and it was extremely non-intuitive and very difficult to use. the AutoStitch was automatic and only required a final crop at the end.
Photostitch is available for Macs, go back and look at the Canon site again.
