Latest bios for Mac mini server mid 2010

I have a Mac mini server mid 2010 and searched for the latest EFI Boot ROM.

I found the page:

inside found:

Identifier

EFI Boot ROM version

MM41.0042.B03 (EFI 1.5)

who links to the page

Mac mini (Mid 2010) EFI Firmware Update 1.5

Now if I try to download and launch the software got a error message that say "your system didn't support this software".

So I checked the EFI Boot ROM version of my mac with system profiler and found:

EFI Boot ROM version

MM41.0045.B00

SMC

1.65f2

So, I ask, which is the latest EFI Boot ROM version for the Mac mini server mid 2010?

Which between:

MM41.0045.B00 (it seems a successive version 0045 against 0042 of the downloadable one)

or

MM41.0042.B03 (official apple)

???

Our Mid 2010 Mac Mini running High also shows MM41.0045.B00 1.65f2

Seems to me that it was updated way way back between 10.6 and 10.7 around the time that macOS Recovery appeared on the seen.

About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers - Apple Support is an old article that is no longer being updated to reflect each and every models EFI version.

The proof is right there in the fine print.

We are discussing of an "obsolete" still OS supported Mac Mini Server Late 2010, running OSX 10.13.3 (High Sierra) perfectly. I didn't think apple support give me help for an unsupported hardware. Still doubt remain...

I have same memory, but why apple didn't list on the support site all the different version linked to the running operating system?

Sometimes the update is included with a later software install upgrade.

Also check the dates of those Support files, because they may not have

seen dates of original service revised. If your Mac mini (mid-2010) server

is still running Mt Lion 10.8(.5) there may have been later firmware update

associated with El Capitan 10.11.6 or perhaps Yosemite 10.10.x.

Hard to say; usually the firmware info can be seen easily in system profile.

And is directed to hardware, so one size fixes all.

My Late 2012 Mac mini i7 server shipped with Mavericks 10.9.0. There

are few or no firmware updates listed for mine -- except maybe one in the

system upgrade path. (Mine runs 10.9.5 on one partition, 10.11.6 on other.

And both of these in original HDD location first HDD of two factory 1-TB.)

Hard to say ~ other than how this has previously been explained online in

discussions, including Apple's site. ~ Seems the Support page for firmware

may offer update version for those who want the later version w/o upgrade

to the macOS. Or have dual operating systems in separate partitions where

a firmware update may not have been installed over an original system.

And in the course of build model year variations, there may have been different

Firmware numbers offered; and usually the system upgrade accounts for that.

For my Late 2012 model, there were four OS X versions shipped during its run.

In any event...
