USB disk drive spitting out my CD

I've owned this drive since about 2 years ago because my MacBook Pro didn't have a disk drive. Now I'm using it with my new MacBook Pro with the touch bar, and it's spitting out one of the new CD I just bought. It didn't happen with the other one, but just one specific disk. I've never had this issue before. I can't even finish importing the songs to iTunes before it spits it out. And the ones I do get to import into the iTunes library, I can't match them with the iCloud match. There is a cloud icon with an exclamation mark on each of those tracks. Does anyone out there have the same issue? Please don't tell me it's just a bad CD:(

Hi,

Resetting SMC as well as NVRAM could solve the problem.

Also, I just wonder if your external USB DVD drive works with old MacBook Pro.
