Connecting two bluetooth bose speakers to iMac

Hi. I have two Bose Soundlink II bluetooth speakers. I am able to pair both speakers together to play in party or stereo mode. This works on my iPhone. However, when I try to do it with my iMac, this does not work. Someone informed me from Bose that once I did the software update, I would be able to do this (I did do the software update on both speakers). But when pairing the speakers together, it disconnects my iMac. Anybody know how I can use both speakers with the iMac? Thanks for any help.
