Tags Missing - Google Drive File Stream

Hello,

I have recently installed Google Drive File stream (version 25.157.172.2329). I am using the MacOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

  • The google drive file stream creates a Google Drive (Under Devices)
  • There are folders under them.
  • I have selectively made some file/folders offline and i have tagged the files (Orange/Red etc)
  • These files are not appearing in the Tag since the past 2-3 days
  • All other files under the tag (except for Google Drive can be seen)

I have tried restarting the PC and also installed the latest patch of MacOS High Sierra.

I am heavily reliant on Google drive to sync my files and i have categorized all the files under the tags for quick access.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have been unable to install GDFS on computers that have already updated to 10.13.3 - clicking the Allow button does not work. This is version 25.257.182.1616, the installer has a creation date of 30 Jan 18. I haven't been able to locate a more recent version...

The Mac I successfully tested it on was running 10.13.1. I later updated it to 10.13.3, which seems to be working, although there may be some issues I haven't tested for, like the tags problem.

Yes I think its a matter of waiting for Google to update their app. Given that the old Google App drive stops working in 3 months, I hope they get their act together!
